Getting from Honolulu Airport to Honolulu Cruise Terminal

There are multiple options to get from the Honolulu Airport to the Honolulu cruise ship terminal. These include cruise line bus transfer, private shuttle bus, private town car, taxi and car rental. Below are the costs of the various modes of transportation between Honolulu cruise ship terminal and the Honolulu International Airport (HNL), and, some helpful advice for your consideration about each option. Taking a Taxi Cab between Honolulu Cruise Ship Terminal and Honolulu International Airport (HNL)

Taking a taxi cab between the Honolulu International Airport (HNL) and Honolulu cruise ship terminal should run no higher than $30 for a 1-way trip. If you have 5 or 6 people in your group, ask the dispatcher for a larger vehicle such as a Suburban. 

Taking the Cruise Line transfer between Honolulu Cruise Ship Terminal and  International Airport (HNL)

On average, cruise line transfers between the Honolulu Airport and Honolulu cruise ship terminal are approximately $28 per person, each way. A benefit of cruise line transfers is that they watch your flight for delays. Within reason, they may delay the departure of the ship if your flight is late.

Taking a Shared Private Shuttle between Honolulu Cruise Ship Terminal and Honolulu International Airport (HNL)

Generally, shared private shuttles (i.e.: Super Shuttle) between between the Honolulu Airport and Honolulu cruise ship terminal are only economical (versus the cruise-line provided transportation) if you have a larger group. Shuttles cost from $10 to $15 per person and is the best option for a party of 5 or more. You can request the entire van, and they will take you directly to the port.

While you can take a bus to the cruise terminal, this is least recommended and especially so if you are carrying luggage. Buses in Honolulu do have some rather strict requirements regarding luggage because the fare is quite cheap and buses are usually crowded.

Taking a Rental Car between Honolulu Cruise Ship Terminal and Honolulu International Airport (HNL)

There are many rental car companies with locations at the airport and near the Honolulu cruise terminal. The rental car agencies have shuttles to take you to and from the ship.

Taking a Town Car between Honolulu Cruise Ship Terminal and Honolulu International Airport (HNL)

A chauffeur-driven town car between Honolulu Cruise Ship Terminal and Honolulu International Airport (HNL) is the most stress-free option, though probably the most expensive. This can be as low as $60 per limo for up to 3 people going one-way to the port. You do ride in a nicer vehicle and don't have to bother with waiting for other people to board. Larger vechicles are available for an additional charge for larger parties.
